Mixing It Up: Pattern & Texture

Stripes with Polka Dots? Floral with Plaid? Mixing patterns and textures is a great way to show off your daring style and a way to transform your entire wardrobe!

Adding a plaid fleece scarf to a lace dress is a great fall transition outfit and also mixes some of your patterns. Add some long, tribal inspired necklaces to tie this outfit together!

Layering is another great way to mix patterns and textures. If you have a dress with crochet or lace trim, add an over-sized top, like this ribbed high low tunic, over that dress and let the little details peek through.

Outerwear plays a huge role is pattern mixing as well. The possibilities are endless with a faux fur vest, especially with colder weather just around the corner. Add a fur vest over a dark, printed dress with tons of accessories. This look will even help accentuate the pattern on the dress more than it would have without the vest.

These are just a few ways to mixing patterns and textures... we'd love to hear how YOU mix them up!
